1/32 Bomben Torpedo BT-1400 – Limited edition resin kit

The armament of the BT series (Bomben Torpedo) is one of the most interesting and rare “Wunderwaffe” designs that have been manufactured and tested.
This is an example of a search by German engineers for a cheap and lightning fast means to fight ships.
It is not known exactly how this development was supposed to work.
There is some opinion that the shape of the bow is an attempt to create the effect of a gas bubble under water in which this torpedo could move at a higher speed. This effect was later implemented on unguided Soviet torpedoes Shkval.

This model represents one of the largest bomb torpedoes of this series BT-1400.

The carrier on which the BT series was tested was FW-190F8 with some modifications. It was also planned to use Ar-234 as a carrier and possibly Me-163 for a smaller caliber BT.

Included is a scheme for finalizing the FW-190F

The kit contains pylon to be installed on the FW-190.

A model is intended for the advanced collectors of having an experience with resin models.
